It started
with nostalgia.
Wil and Tori were drawn back to their sailboat. After a chance run-in and casual mention, they passed along Sammies to their friends, Tanner and Holley.
Tanner grew up in the restaurant industry on St. Simons, learning the business from top to bottom. After managing several island establishments, he was on the hunt for more family-friendly hours. Tanner and Holley excitedly took the reins in July 2022. They’ve stayed true to the homemade grab-and-go roots, but added their own spin with more options and a fun, revamped indoor/outdoor space to enjoy your meal.
In 2024, they also added the area’s first PizzaForno automated pizza vending machine — offering six delicious pizzas in about 3 minutes. Now, customers can enjoy a great grab-and-go option any time of day or night.
It began in 2020 with Wilmot Greene missing the sandwiches of his childhood. Growing up in Gainesville, GA, Wilmot frequented the Inn-Between, grabbing one of their ready-made sandwiches. He and his wife, Tori, opened Sammies on St. Simons Island, following the specific instructions from his old haunt. As a grab-and-go, it was the perfect set-up during COVID.
